Alloy powder production

The company has been engaged in the manufacture of powders for more than 30 years and has unique technology for the manufacture of fine, spherical powders which are ideally suited to metal injection moulding and fine coating applications. It boasts the widest range of alloy powders available under one roof and has versatile manufacturing facilities enabling production of small batches (20kg scale) up to full production lots (3000kg scale).

In addition to 5 separate atomising plants, the company’s facilities include a variety of sieving units and air classifiers to separate out narrow size fractions as required and also assorted analysis equipment to determine particle size distributions by laser diffraction, chemistry by Leco analysis and physical characteristics such as density and flow properties.

The company has already gained significant experience in the manufacture of alloy powders for SOFC applications and has ISO9001 and ISO14001 approvals.
