The vertical integration of the project partners assures the mutual interest of the partners by creating a multiple win-win matrix.

The project is based on a detailed product definition study in order to maximise the probability of success and to increase speed and relevance.

Partner competencies

The project scope is based on strong competencies and work carried out by the partners prior to the project start. The partners have the necessary equipment for all the sequential steps of the development course, such as

• advanced material characterisation
• advanced testing stations for cells, stacks and hardware-in-the loop analysis
• manufacturing facilities for metal powders, strip steel, coated strip steel, cells, stacks and brazing

Several project partners have significant knowledge about end-user requirements for SOFC systems.

Project set-up

This project is set up for maximum efficiency and minimum overlap between the project partners. The approach can be described as a LEAN spiral with effective shortcuts for rapid feedback of information and results.
